she continued singing in a choir whilst at withington girls' school in manchester and participated in a choir tour of italy, where she was fortunate to sing in st. mark's basilica, venice. angela has also enjoyed singing in the liverpool harmonic gospel choir which is directed by tyndale thomas mbe. after leaving this choir, angela sang with her sister in a band she formed with a number of soul musicians. in the summer of 2012, she joined soulvation and has been singing with this extremely talented group of musicians ever since. kev - bass kev has been playing bass over 25 years in a variety of original, cover, function and tribute bands. he was a teenage rock and metal fan who discovered soul and motown via the commitments and blues brothers films, opening up a new musical world he continues to explore. making up half of soulvation's rhythm section along with rick, they aim to have the audience moving and grooving from the start to the end of every gig, with their tight and funky playing. neil - keyboards neil started playing the piano at the age of six and has performed ever since. he attended oldham college, gaining a btec national diploma in performing arts (popular music) and then went on to study music at the arts centre in liverpool, where he gained a btec higher national diploma in performing arts (music). more recently neil gained a ba (hons) in music at edge hill university. neil has been musical director and keyboard player for many theatre groups, performing in many venues across the north west including grange arts centre (oldham), the albert halls (bolton), the lowry (salford), bury met, altrincham garrick theatre and the brindley in runcorn. neil joined his first covers band at the age of 19 on keyboards and hasn’t looked back since. he joined soulvation in 2013 and is enjoying gigging and entertaining the people of the north west. luke - guitar and backing vocals luke joined soulvation last year and plays electric guitar and sings backing vocals. he has been playing music since 1994, including playing live with his original band and performing solo acoustic covers. he also produces his own music and helps young musicians in local youth projects. rick – drums rick is the newest member of soulvation and a highly experienced drummer, having played in chicago, new orleans, france, sweden, denmark, portugal and spain. he has worked with john rossall’s glitter band, misha b, cleo higgins, omar, jason donovan, junior and curiosity killed the cat. find out more about rick at his web site https://ricklacey.co.uk/about/ contact us email - [email protected] telephone - 07963 042481
